'90s alt rock through the prism of Brazilian electroclash mayhem may sounds promising enough, and it's a surprisingly tidy fit for Lovefoxxx and the Cansei De Ser Sexy kids, who did a session at the BBC and offered up a...

Directors Major Lightner and Ryan Bosworth set Yuki and the Asobi guys in a world of computer animated colors and shapes for the sheets of guitar and sugary Seksu melodies. Pixar it ain't, but the visuals bathe the tune in...

StG alerts us to The Morning Benders' new track from the forthcoming Boarded Doors EP. The Cali jangle pop crew is working a decidedly Shins-y look here, but it's another solid track from a band that's impressed before. The Morning...

Sneaky Soundsystem and Van She Tech? Too good too be true. I know we just posted one of their mixes very very recently but this is too good to be missed. Van She Tech is definitely the team to go to if you want a remix done right. These guys are not going anywhere. They have a sound all their own and can remix anything in the world and make me love it. Fortunately they have good taste.
Let’s dance!

It's been a while since I posted about Bishop Allen - since October, in fact - so I thought I'd give an update on their EP-a-month project.
Since January 2006, the band has put out an EP every month, excluding August, when they released a full-length live album. The Brooklyn-based Bishop Allen only has one other record under their belt - the fantastic Charm School - so the endeavor was as audacious as it sounded. The results have been pretty good overall; there were a couple clunkers here and there, but the series brought us songs like "Corazon" (from January) and the fantastic "Click Click Click Click" (from July).
Now the EPs come to a close, and the below track comes from December.
Bishop Allen - Calendar.
I haven't heard the record myself, but based on the other entries, I have no reason to doubt its awesomeness. The band is also on tour, so be sure to check them out when they come to your city. (They're finally coming to Minneapolis next month!)
And pick up any of the Bishop Allen records at their store.

That Michael Anthony is coming out of this whole Van Halen thing looking shrewder by the second. First, the Van Halen reunion that he wasn't invited to appears to have torn its spandex before it even got jumping, and now...

Good things have been going down for Ferraby Lionheart. The LA troubadour recently signed to Nettwerk, and presently he's hard at work on the full-length follow-up to the self-titled EP that caught our ear last year. Guitars and pianos apparently...
