Okay, Gameboy/Gamegirl is only a couple songs out the gate so any news of anything at all is totally exciting. Their sound has yet to be defined, but there is a pattern starting to emerge: total, pure fun.
“Fruit Salad” sounds like Gravy Train doing JJ Fad with a little electro twist. So simple, yet I keep coming back to this track… like a hundred times in the past couple days. And um, who doesn’t love fruit salad? Oh ee oh. You’ll be playing just to sing along.
Gameboy/Gamegirl - “Fruit Salad” (mp3)
And if you’re in Melbourne, please go to MTV’s Kick Start this Wednesday, February 28th, and help Gameboy/Gamegirl win $20,000!!

This absurdist office scene was the winner on last night's Rainn Wilson & Arcade Fire episode of Saturday Night Live. As one of you pointed out in the earlier comments, "If you don't like non sequiturs, hey is that a...

This is just fun. I can't say I've ever been a big fan of the "celebrity picks" type product, but Trojan Records 40th anniversary does deserve some special treatment I suppose. And anything that gets this music into the ears of more folks is ok in my book. So here we go Trojan Records that mainstay of the reggae has put Radiohead's Johnny Greenwood in charge of the sound system for the night. It's a party.
Delroy Wilson - This Life Makes Me Wonder
Like I said, regardless of how you feel about guest track selectors, this music stands on its own and you know Greenwood knows that. This track is by one of my favorite Trojan acts, Delroy Wilson. The album also includes cuts from the likes of Derrick Harriot, Lee Perry, the Heptones and other great Reggae and dub artists.
Plus, I got to say, I'm a sucker for this cover art. I love the radiohead bear incorporated into the Trojan logo. Maybe it's shameless, but it's working on me all right.
UPDATE: I was wrong. If you go a here you can pre-order the album for $9.99!

Cursing and punching out a stalkerazzi in front of your five-year-old son is indeed no way to act, Mr. itv anchorman, but neither is having a lead which claims (and relies on) Liam Gallagher having sung "Don't Look Back In...

There are remixes that are faithful to a fault, and then there are Kanye remixes. In addition to fleshing out the beat and adding some choir vocals to FOB's "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race," Kanye critiques the...
