There are words I tend to overuse in this forum, including "fantastic" and "great." Another is "lovely," which is not only the uncoolest word ever, but one that isn't very descriptive. Problem is, for some songs, there aren't many other words to use. This is usually a very good thing.
Oui, Mouton - Hindsight.
Lovely, right?
Some disclosure: Oui, Mouton is a band from Portland, Oregon, and one of its three members is Jesse Fox, a guy that I think all us Robots know from college. He was the drummer who was somehow in every band, and somehow always fit into the ensemble perfectly, no matter what the genre. Jesse - that's him in the green shirt - was in a band with me, and I daresay he and his roommate Simon were the best parts.
But I digress. The band, whose other members are Ricci Swift and Lizzy Sonenfeld, doesn't have a record out yet, but this track bodes well for a good record.
Contact the band via MySpace, I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Thrill Jockey vets Trans Am are telling a story with their vid for "Conspiracy Of The Gods," shot to mimic some pseudo-stylish heist caper ala Tarantino or Guy Pearce. This means slight camera trickery; lots of chasing; pretty protagonists; and...

We revist the Los Angeles punk scene again this week. Geza (real first name) was a sought after producer in the late 70’s early 80’s. He adopted the ‘X’ at the end of his name as a tribute to Malcolm X. He produced albums for many well know punk bands such as Dead Kennedys, The Germs & Black Flag & played in The Bags (a female fronted group who wore bags over their heads).
In 1982 he released his only solo album ‘You Goddamn Kids’ with the Mommymen providing instrumental backing who Paul Roessler of The Screamers, and later Nervous Gender played keys for.
Here’s a video clip of Geza X & The Mommymen performing Isotope Soap on New Wave Theatre.

You Goddamn Kids was re-released in 2002 on Bacchus Archives. You can pick up a copy on CD from

The reason Amy Winehouse canceled her UK gigs earlier this month: She broke her "big tooth" falling down drunk. (This followed closely by Jacko's plan to have a 50ft robot version of himself constructed in Las Vegas.) Sometimes the summary...

We have nothing to back this but an off-hand tease in an IGN.com article, but Jack White may be in talks to play the best singer of all time, Elvis Presley, in a feature-length parody of recent biopics like Walk...
