Oh how I wish Gwen Stefani’s The Sweet Escape had been worth writing about. Sure, it is charming at moments, but overall The Sweet Escape was totally uneven and really seemed nothing more than a way to cash in on the success of Love Angel Music Baby… just in time for Christmas. Hell Gwen, when Fergie is copping on your sound it’s time to switch it up hard.
That said — Bedtime For Toys’ newest track, “Say BOOM”, makes up for any pop disappointments of The Sweet Escape. The first time I heard Bedtime For Toys I immediately thought of an indie Gwen Stefani… but this time around Stefani should take a hint from the Toys.
