yay more new stuff from Golden Bug. They are releasing a new 12″ in September on Gomma Records and here’s some of the golden goodness. ‘Horses’ has the infectious beat that won’t leave my hips alone and ‘We Love Tokyo’ reminds me of that scene in Blade where the Japanese schoolgirls are up on the bar entertaining all those sleazy businessmen….anyone else remember that? eh…..
So I’m glad that the French are getting a good reputation for being good at more than just french-kissing. Golden Bug seems to be good at also making raunchy electro (which the BigStereo family seems to be a fan of these days…see Lezzies on X). Golden Bug is a nasty little project of Antoine Harispuru a.k.a Haristy produced on Gomma records. He’s one half of Silicon Boogie and one part of the Silicon Square Garden family (who also houses Playgroup). He seems to be spitting out 12″ like a guy who hates to swallow. He has a remix of Play Paul’s (Gigolo/Kitsune) ‘Hells Bells’ track coming out sometime this month, his own 3-track 12″ will be released in May and another 12″ for the single Bisco will come in the months to follow. At least your ears can’t catch STD’s…
