A lot of music comes across my desk here at Music for Robots. CDs pile up in the corners of my office, emails pile up in my inbox. And believe me, I'm not complaining. However, not all of this music is right for Robots. For whatever reason - maybe it's a little mainstream, or maybe one of the other guys is going to post it, or maybe it just doesn't feel right. So I've got all this good music that needs a home.
So enter my other musical writing outlet: The At&t Blueroom. Periodically, I'll be updating you with what's been going on over there, since even though it's a big corporate site, I do like what I've been writing and take a lot of pride in my work. For example, last week I wrote about how the Dap Kings are the new "it" commodity for the mainstream pop hits, with even Bob Dylan hiring them to back them on his new self-titled box set. I also wrote about Philadelphia's the A-Sides, and how they're finally getting a proper release of their album. There's a lot more too- I've been writing there all year.
Today I think I'll write about that insane Radiohead news and how it probably won't revolutionize the industry but it's certainly a step in the right direction.
Anyway, just know that in addition to my robots posts you can always find me over there three days a week.
