Rory Phillips is a busy guy. Perhaps you’ll recognize him from sets alongside Erol Alkan at London’s dearly departed Trash, OR East London’s Our Disco, OR his main room slot at Durrr. Because of his unique style and close proximity to major players in the music game, he’s been able to dj with the likes of 2 Many DJ’s, Optimo, The DFA DJ’s and Justice…lucky bastard. He also likes to dip his fingers in the remixing pool, and has cranked out special concoctions for Chromeo, Annie, Of Montreal and Franz Ferdinand. He somehow manages to find the time for ‘prodding buttons’ for Whitey, too….
So Rory has provided you with a mix (via ourdisco.com) recorded live at Trash before its untimely end…its kindof like a fruit salad with a bunch of ingredients that you’d never even think to use together but end up being so delicious that you go back for seconds and thirds…..
